Ricardo is a graduate of the University of Florida (Spring 98) and has been a brother since the Spring of 1996. Upon his graduation, he was immediately appointed the first Florida Sector Vice President by the National Board in efforts to facilitate the fraternity structure. Ricardo helped implement a statewide conference, picnic, and banquet. He also helped establish five new chapters during his tenure.
In 2000, Ricardo became the first brother, outside of New Jersey, to get elected onto National Board. That same year, he was awarded the National Alumni of the Year. During his two years as the National Induction Officer, the fraternity grew by 11 chapters and expanded in 5 states.
After his term on the National Board, Ricardo took four years off to start marketing and advertising businesses to which he is successfully running today. During his Hiatus from the fraternity Ricardo also continued his service to humanity by taking an annual trip to Guatemala to build schools in the rainforest.
In 2006, with the help of four other dedicated brothers, Ricardo started the South Florida Alumni Chapter. The Alumni Chapter helped brothers network and be informed on fraternity events specific to alumni. After two years of service to South Florida, Ricardo is now faced with the challenge of serving the fraternity on a global scale.
Ricardo plans to help promote the ideals of the Foundation and raise awareness on key issues affecting Latin Americans. At the same time trying to unite the dedicated brothers from various areas to work for common causes.
