Rey Lago is the Director of Customer Service and has over 20 years of call center, operations and sales experience in the financial services and securities processing industries. Rey currently heads up the corporate-wide service initiatives and self-serve technology at Amalgamated Life Insurance Company. He has standardized call center metrics and key performance indicators for all corporate wide service programs. He has held executive and senior management positions at SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company, JP Morgan Chase, EquiServe Inc. and The Bank of New York.
Mr. Lago was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He received a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Kean University, Union, New Jersey and is a member of the Center for Customer-Driven Quality at Purdue University and ICMI, The International Customer Management Institute. He is Vice Chairman of the Lambda Theta Phi Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of students through holarships, programs and seminars. He is also a Founding Father of Lambda Theta Phi - Latin Fraternity Inc. He served was past president of Alpha Chapter, first National Pledge Master and Brother of the Year consecutively 1980-1981.
